    Francis Street Campus


    Percival Whitley Centre



    The main College building on Francis Street is named after the founder of vocational education in Calderdale, it houses hairdressing and beauty salons, the College gym and fitness suite, library and learning resources centre, student services, the refectory and bistro, an Optimum centre (flexible IT), and teaching rooms for subjects including business, law, childcare, health and social care, teacher education and skills for life.


    Halifax Creative and Conservation Skills Centre


    This centre on the main campus provides a venue for courses in the arts including music, drama, fine arts, multimedia and graphic design. These include a music production studio, life drawing room, photographic dark rooms, studio and lab and a state-of-the-art theatre. The centre also provides purpose-built workshops for construction trades such as joinery, plumbing, and brickwork as well as rooms for courses like stone carving and electrical work. The centre was built to meet the labour market needs of the thriving creative and conservation industries in our local area and to provide the skills necessary to help conserve our architectural and craft heritage.

    The One Centre
    The One Centre joins the Creative Centre with the Percival Whitley Centre. Itis open during College hours and is used to host events such as the Art & Design end of year show, freshers fairs and careers events.

    Princess Mary Building



    Named after the grammar school it once was, this impressive building sited on the main campus, houses teaching rooms, Calderdale Training (work-based learning) offices and training rooms, the sports, science and public services department, the Calderdale College Dance, Football and Rugby League Academies.

    North Halifax


    North Halifax Skills Centre


    The College's base in North Halifax provides an excellent alternative venue for courses which are a vocational route into the work place and higher education. The centre has workshops for brickwork, joinery, painting and decorating, plasterwork and interior design.

    The centre aims to encourage women into the construction trades by providing family-friendly learning in a supportive environment with female tutors and mentors from the industry.

    The centre also houses North Halifax Hairdressing and Beauty Skills Academies which run real-life commercial salons.

    Mytholmroyd & Todmorden


    The Ark


    The Ark is a commercial childcare training facility set up in partnership with Calderdale College and The Ark Private Day Nursery, Mytholmroyd. As part of our commitment to a quality workforce, Calderdale College are now able to link more closely with a commercial nursery and their learners to bring the childcare NVQs to life.

    Todmorden Community College
    Calderdale College is one of the main providers delivering courses at Todmorden Community College. The thriving community arts programme delivers courses up to Honours Degree Level in recently renovated facilities.

    Calderdale Construction Skills Academy
    The College's specialist construction skills academy in Mytholmroyd is a new and modern learning environment for 14-16 year old school pupils who want to get a head start on their vocational learning by studying at the College before they leave school. Situated on a business park, the site has been recently renovated and purpose-built interiors house brick, joinery and painting and decorating workshops, and an ICT based learning zone.

    Brighouse

    Mark Riley Hairdressing Academy
    The Mark Riley Hairdressing Academy in Brighouse is a commercial apprenticeship training facility for 16-24 year olds set up in partnership with Mark Riley Hairdressing. It is for learners who aspire to be leaders in their industry and who have a natural and exceptional flair for hairdressing.
