Calderdale College is the sole provider of Higher Education (HE) courses in Calderdale. We offer Foundation Degrees (FDs), BA Hons (Top-Up) Degrees, Higher National Certificates and Higher National Diplomas (HNCs and HNDs) and Professional Graduate Certificates in Education and Certificates in Education (PGCEs and Cert Eds).
Students at Calderdale College can gain a university-level qualification, but while studying at a local college, within a small population of around 400 students, with small course groups, close tutor-student relationships and excellent support networks.
Our partner links with Leeds Beckett, Huddersfield and Bradford universities mean that you’ll not only have access to university resources, such as online research tools and university library access, but also that our teaching is of the standard you would expect at university.
The college’s commitment to Widening Participation means that it seeks to provide educational opportunities for everyone, including those who may not have conventional academic qualifications; may be returning to education or training after a long break or may have a specific learning difficulty or disability. Support, advice and counselling is available to all HE students; Academic Skills development – from induction to progression – forms an important part of the student experience.
