Learning Centres
Calderdale College's Learning Resource Centre is here to help you achieve success with your studies.
The Learning Centre consists of two centres with both Library and IT facilities. The main Learning Centre has two areas for drop-in PC use as well as bookable rooms for collaboration and class skills activities. We also have a Quiet Reading Room and a large informal study area for you to work in with your own devices. There will always be 1:1 support from our team of experts.
Our main Learning Centre 1 is situated on B floor, with a Mezzanine on C floor in the Percival Whitley Centre…..
…and a smaller one in the Inspire Centre - Learning Centre 2
Each centre has Library and IT facilities and all the resources that you will need to help you with your studies. We have an extensive range of books, DVDs, Videos, CD-Roms, magazines and journals. At our Help Desks, we have expert staff to guide and support you through your learner journey at College.
In addition to this, we also have a large range of online e-Resources and support materials which are available through Moodle our virtual learning environment. These can be accessed from College PCs and from home.
Need support with Maths and English skills? We also have an Excel room which is a dedicated base offering supportive workshops in Maths and English as well as 1:1 support when you need it. This is situated in the Skillzone area of Learning Centre 1 on B floor.
