Spencer Belson - Motivate Curriculum Co-ordinator
"I was offered a job teaching the same courses that I was doing as a student. This led to a chance meeting with a training centre manager who ultimately became my new employer. I went to work for a small independent charity that delivered life skills and vocational training in motor vehicles and engineering as a life skills trainer. I went on to complete assessors awards and teacher training to enable me to further support the young people that I was working with. In 2013 the opportunity arose to join Calderdale College in setting up a new motor vehicle and engineering and bodywork centre (motivate) and I jumped at the chance to continue helping young people to gain qualifications in Motor Vehicle and Engineering."
