Apprenticeship in Accountancy Level 2Apprenticeship
Accounting apprenticeships provides the knowledge and practical requirements to work in finance departments and accountancy firms. You can gain a recognised qualification and professional skills while you earn a salary.
The level 2 AAT Accountancy apprenticeship involves the following modules:
- Processing Bookkeeping Transactions
- Control account journals and the banking system
- Basic costing
- Work Effectively in accounting and finance
- Computerised accounting
The modules are delivered in a classroom setting with practical and theory activities and end testing to confirm competence.
All applicants will be interviewed and assessed for suitability by a Training Officer. Applicants will be in relevant employment where the employer supports NVQ; however, those without an employer will be given job seeking assistance by the Training Officer. Employers may have their own entry requirements for the apprenticeship position they are offering - these will be outlined in the job vacancy.

Learners can progress onto a Level 3.

Careers and Student Advisors to give you the necessary help and guidance you need when you are progressing on to further and higher education or employment.
