Apprenticeship in Business and Administration – Level 2 /3NVQ
A Business Administration Apprenticeship will provide a real working experience in a large variety of industries, enabling you to learn the ins and outs of the job whilst training. Upon completion of the qualification, not only will you be fully qualified, but also have the valuable knowledge and experience for the role.
Apprentices will be employed in a Business Administration role and can choose to study the qualification in the workplace or attend College half a day per week to gain the underpinning skills and knowledge required to operate effectively in an office environment.
The work based qualification combines competence and technical knowledge to give learners the practical competencies, technical skills and sector-related knowledge they need to be able to carry out a job effectively.
The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration is for learners who work in or who want to work in the Business Administration in job roles such as an Administrator, Business Support Offices, Office Junior or Receptionist.
The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration is for learners who work in, or who want to work in Business Administration roles such as a Personal Assistant, Office Executive or Office Supervisor.
Apprentices will study the qualification in the workplace or attend college one afternoon per week.
All applicants will be interviewed and assessed for suitability by a training Officer. Applicants will be expected to be in relevant employment with the support of an employer who can offer work that supports completion of the Diploma qualification. Applicants who do not have an employer will be given employment seeking assistance from our Communication Skills Academy and Admissions Team. Level 2 applicants are required to hold a GCSE Grade E or grade 2 or above in Maths, English and ICT (or equivalent) or be prepared to work towards Maths, English and ICT Level 1 Functional Skills. Level 3 applicants are required to hold a GCSE Grade C or above in Maths, English and ICT (or equivalent) or work towards Maths, English and ICT Level 2 Functional Skills.

Are there any opportunities for progression?
Upon completion of a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship, learners may have the opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.
The Advice & Guidance team provide impartial Student Advisors to give information about College Courses and provide initial guidance to help you decide which course is best for you . Financial advice and assistance if you need help with childcare, equipment, fees, or travel. Careers and Student Advisors to give you the necessary help and guidance you need when you are progressing on to further and higher education or employment.
During Your Study
Before enrolment you will be asked to attend an interview with a Training Officer and complete a basic assessment of your skills in English and Maths. The results of this will be used to determine the level of support you will require to complete your framework successfully.Apply for this course
