Course Overview

This programme is designed for 16-18 and 19+ learners, will help you develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of health, children and young people’s workforce, social care and community work.

This course will help you develop knowledge, skills and understanding of health, children and young people’s workforce, social care and community work.

The course will also enable you to develop personal learning skills and functional skills such as English & Maths.

Successful completion of the course can lead onto a range of Level 1 or 2 courses.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

This is a foundation level course which is suitable for beginners.

School leavers should aim for 4 GCSE’s at grade G or grade 1 to include English and Maths.

Progression

BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or related subjects such as childcare or the Level 2 Award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities or the Certificate in Preparation to work in Adult Social Care.

Assessment Methods

The course is unit based and is assessed using a variety of methods such as, written assignments, and practical tasks.
