AutoCAD is used in many Design industries including mechanical and civil engineering, architecture and facilities planning and management. Many employers are using AutoCAD than any other CAD system and hence there is a need for skilled workers who have expertise in using AutoCAD.

Description

If you like to design engineering drawings, the AutoCAD City & Guilds certification is one career option for you. As AutoCAD is one of the most popular software packages in this field, many opportunities are available all over the world. Upon completion of this course, the student will learn to use AutoCAD and create accurate 2D drawings, setup drawings to dimensions, build a library of symbols that can be reused, develop template files with standard settings and coordinate reference drawings.

Teaching

The course is delivered through a series of practical workshops.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should be computer literate with good numerical skills and have an understanding of CAD (possibly gained through the level 2 2D course)

Interview Process

No interview required. Please complete a short application form to register your interest. Admissions will contact you prior to enrolment. If you would like further details and would like to speak with a specialist tutor you can attend an Open Evening at Calderdale College on the first Wednesday of each month from 5 - 7 pm.

Candidates are assessed through two practical assignments and an on-line multiple choice test.
