Partnership with Calderdale College came about through Mark Riley's wish to improve the quality of training for their staff. Together with Mark Riley, Calderdale college developed a programme of education linked into the commercial sector
Our partnership with Calderdale College came about through our wish to improve the quality of training for our staff. Together we have developed a programme of education linked into the commercial sector.
The benefits of working with the College have been that we have access to fantastic training facilities and IT support, which helps with training. All our trainees train in-house and can realistically achieve an NVQ Level 2 in one year, developing skills to our quality and standards. We now have a ready supply of highly trained people who can hit the shop floor running.
This has been a fantastic opportunity for us to realise our vision of 10 shops in 10 years with a training academy and a salon. I now know that it is possible to go into a town where you are hardly known and within 6 months have 120 clients per week coming through your salon.
