£150,000 New Calderdale College Education Fund to Help Students at the College

A £150,000 education fund is available to help individuals and groups of students studying at the College.

The fund is made up of two parts – individuals can apply for grants up to £1,000 and groups can apply for grants up to £20,000. Calderdale College have partnered with the Community Foundation for Calderdale who will distribute both types of grant twice a year over a five year period.

What can the money be used for?

Applications must meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Projects and initiatives that support the educational development and well-being both socially and from an educational perspective
  • College based projects or initiatives that support health matters and healthy living
  • Educational attainment projects including lifelong learning

To be eligible for the grant students need to be aged 14 years old or above. Their projects must not fall within statutory provision. Applications for individuals must support:

  • Projects and initiatives that support the educational development and well-being both socially and from an educational perspective
  • College based projects or initiatives that support health matters and healthy living
  • Educational attainment projects including lifelong learning
  • Education inclusion with support for individual students in the form of scholarships, travel assistance, and educational materials

Applications will be considered by the College and the Community Foundation for Calderdale twice a year in September and January. If you would like to be considered for one of the proposed grants please apply via the Community Foundation for Calderdale website.
