A Month of Events Courtesy of Students and Lecturers at Calderdale College3rd June 2014
Throughout the month of June, students and staff across the College will be exhibiting their best pieces of work and showcasing their talent in the College and across Calderdale. Come along and support Calderdale’s up-and-coming talented students at the following events:
Pantone HE Design Exhibition Twenty Fourteen: This vibrant exhibition has been brought to you by Design Practice and 3D Architectural Interior Design students and is a penultimate celebration of the students’ hard work throughout the year.
The exhibition is named after Pantone, a range of standard colours for printing, each of which is specified by an individual number. Students have been working vigorously in preparation for the event, creating and designing an eclectic array of work on an assortment of mediums. Attendees will be able to browse at their leisure as they take in the wide variety of diverse artwork.
Sarah Toshinsky, 3D Interior Design student tells us more about the event and her piece: “The exhibition is fantastic because you get to see everyone’s work and it is a source of inspiration. My piece is based on Mad Men the US TV series. We had to bring it to the stage, so that is what everything that I am doing is about. I have created a model of the theatre sets and it shows that in the 1960s women where really put down, but they start to fight back.”
