Be comfortable in your own skin - Positive Image24th October 2012
Calderdale College is backing a new campaign, Positive Image, looking at inspiring confidence. The Positive Image campaign will be launched nationally in London on the 1st November but Calderdale College students will have a sneak preview with activities taking place on the 31st October.
At the launch students will be able to find out more about the campaign which is promoting its time to look beyond the mirror, showing how it is not what’s on the outside that matters. On the 31st Calderdale College students are recording a rap version of the campaign song with a backing track featuring Angie Brown. The song has been specially written to promote positive image and inspire confidence.
There is also the opportunity to try out a make under showing staff and students how to rock a more natural look. The make-unders, provided by the College’s Hair and Beauty students, will involve a more natural makeup look and working with your natural beauty.
Want to get involved in the Positive Image campaign? Then show your support by adding your thumbprint to the College’s campaign wall. Created by staff and students the campaign wall is a visual reminder that we don’t need to look a certain way to fit in and that you should be comfortable in your own skin.
At the national launch on the 1st November three Calderdale College students will be taking part in voicing their opinions on why they support the Positive Image campaign. Check out the Positive Image campaign website for more information
