Calderdale College Level 3 Hairdressing Student Wins National Competition

Level 3 Hairdressing student, Natalia Heppelston from Brighouse who is part of the Artistic team at Calderdale College has won first prize in the national Dennis Williams Christmas Extravaganza competition.

Jo Gas, Programme Manager – Hair, Beauty and Business Enterprise said: “The Artistic team is an elite team made up of a group of learners that complete an extra session to develop their competition skills to set them apart from rest. They are a talented team who have produced award winning hairstyles which we want other learners to aspire to.”

Four Calderdale College learners entered the competition along with hundreds of learners from across the country to be in with a chance of winning an esteemed industry competition. Congratulations to Natalia Heppelston who won first prize with her Christmas up-style which consisted of a beautiful bauble arrangement. The award winning hairdressing student from Brighouse gained recognition from the largest independent suppliers of hair and beauty products in the UK and was awarded £100 worth of products and electrical equipment.
