Celebrating Success26th July 2012
70 learners who have successfully completed their Ascentis course in construction will be awarded their certificates by Peter Nangle, Vice Principal of Calderdale College today.
The celebration event for the students will include the presentation of certificates and goodie bags to those who have successfully completed the course and will be followed by a challenge football match.
The full-time and part-time students have completed the qualification at the main site on Francis Street or at the North Halifax Skills Centre.
Construction Crafts Programme Manager Roosevelt Alexander commented on their success “Once again we are very pleased to see a large group of successful students passing an intense summer course. A big well done.”
The Ascentis course provides learners with an excellent introduction to the occupational areas within the construction industry. The course is made up of a number of optional units to provide the learner with an introduction to a particular occupational area within the construction industry including Electrical and Plumbing. The qualification also develops wider employment skills, such as customer service, customer care and safe working practice.
