"We're looking for clubs who are very involved in their local communities as well as those with a good performance record", said Damien Kilkenny, programme manager for Sport at Calderdale College. "We have a new Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching and Performance Management starting this September, with new university standard sports science equipment. This will be available to clubs to help with nutritional and fitness training programmes". "We'll be kicking off the Sponsors Evening with a short presentation and will then have informal discussions with club representatives. Current players and coaches will be on hand to talk to. 90 per cent of our Sports Academy students play for local clubs as College fixtures all take place during the week, leaving the weekends free. We're keen to establish closer links with clubs and help them in any way that we can." Interested club representatives can phone 01422 399388, e-mail adele@calderdale.ac.uk or just come along on the evening.
