Worried about the cost of studying at college and how you will cover your living expenses? Did you know that Calderdale College may be able to provide you with Financial Support?
If you are experiencing financial difficulty meeting the costs associated with learning you may be eligible to apply for financial support from the college.
If you are aged 16-18 there are currently two College funds available. The Guaranteed Bursary is a bursary (you do not need to pay this money back to College) of at least £1,200 per year to assist certain groups of learners. You can visit the financial support page of the College’s website to see if you are eligible and how to apply.
Also available is the 16-18 Enhanced Learner Support Fund where money is made available to support students aged 16-18 who are facing genuine financial problems to help them stay at College. Help is available with the costs of travel, food and essential course costs and you do not need to pay back this money. You can visit the financial support page of the College’s website to see if you are eligible and how to apply.
Learners aged 16-19 may apply to Care to Learn for help with childcare costs. Contact advice and guidance to see if you are eligible and for an application form.
If you are aged 19 or over learners may access the 19+ Enhanced Learner Support Fund where you may be eligible to receive financial support for items such as travel, equipment and childcare. This money does not need to be paid back. You can visit the financial support page of the College’s website to see if you are eligible and how to apply or contact Advice and Guidance.
