Innovative Engineering Apprenticeship Partnership Launched In Calderdale & Kirklees21st June 2017
Kirkdale Industrial Training Services (KITS) and Calderdale College have joined forces to deliver an exciting Engineering Apprenticeship programme.
Encompassing both public and private sector delivery initiatives, the Brighouse and Halifax-based organisations have cemented a long overdue partnership which they are confident will deliver significant advantages to their learners.
This includes a strengthened offer to local and regional employers, as well as the benefit of a joint recruitment strategy.
Commenting on the new partnership, David Todhunter, CEO at KITS said; “This is an exciting opportunity which presents huge benefits to learners and employers across Kirklees and Calderdale, and is characterized by a mutually transparent relationship at senior level in both organisations.”
John Rees, Principal of Calderdale College added; “Across all of our activities we work with over 3000 employers nationwide, so we hope that by blending this experience with KITS’ considerable expertise in the industrial training sector we can create something very special for all of our stakeholders, and especially the learners and employers we aim to bring together.”
The new partnership will officially commence from the beginning of August 2017, with a new cohort of around 100, 16-18 year old school leavers starting the fundamentals of an Engineering Apprenticeship.
