Last Chance to See ‘Money’ by Lee Barnes at the Empty Space Theatre

26th April 2012

Playwright, actor and ex- Calderdale College student Lee Barnes will be giving a performance of his play ‘Money’ on Thursday 26th April 2012 at the Empty Space Theatre, Calderdale College.

The play is based on his personal experiences of going to university and the issues he faced. The play is a humorous and frank account of the potential pitfalls if you don't take control of your financial affairs.

The play is a journey through his debt problems and shows students who do decide to borrow money that they need to be aware of the amount they are borrowing and need to think about how it will be repaid.

The play will start at 12.30pm and be followed immediately afterwards by a short talk on fees and funding by Leah Murphy, Student Advisor. The talk gives information on fees and funding available to students thinking of continuing their studies into Higher Education. There are various routes available to students who need to continue to finance their studies and this is an opportunity to get help from experts on the fees and funding they can access.

There will also be the opportunity to ask Lee about his experiences of debt, potential bankruptcy and options open to those in debt.

The event is free and tickets are not required.
