Minster Series 2 - Join the debate

19th January 2015 Minster Series 2 - Join the debate

The Minster Series is back, giving you the chance to voice your thoughts and opinions to MPs on the topics that shape our society.

The next public discussion is with Rt Hon Stephen Timms, MP for East Ham since 1994 and the Shadow Minster for Employment.

Stephen will be discussing faith and politics, with his argument that faith is an excellent starting point for politics. He will claim that religious faith is the source for the crucial values to make politics work.

There will be a panel of local politicians who will respond to what Stephen has to say: Cllr John Hardy (conservative), Cllr Peter Wardhaugh (Liberal Democrat) and Surraya Bib (standing for Labour in Warley Ward).

Why should you get involved?

Let your voice be heard! Talk about the subjects and issues that are not only important to society but also to the people of Halifax.

Join the debate

We’re calling on College staff and students to get involved, by taking part at Halifax Minster on the 22nd January from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
