A group of 28 Performing Arts students across three year groups travelled to London for three days to experience the industry and see what the capital had to offer.

The students took a backstage tour at the National Theatre where they were able to take a close look at the running of a professional repertoire theatre. They were amazed by the 2000 seat Olivier Theatre and by the scale of the sets that were created.

A tour of the Globe Theatre allowed students to watch Macbeth in technical rehearsal and to see how players would perform in Shakespeare’s Day.

The highlight of the trip was the performance of War Horse at the New London Theatre, a performance that amazed the students, and brought tears to many an eye! A fun time was had by all staff and students, allowing them to experience first hand what they can achieve through much hard work, commitment and determination.
