Royal Marines put Public Service Students through their Paces

8th October 2012 <b>Royal</b> Marines put Public Service Students through their Paces

Corporal Adrian Roberts and Lance Corporal Jason Brown part of the Royal Marines Visibility Team spent a day with Level 2 & 3 Public Services Students to give them a taste of life in the Royal Marines .

Students learnt about challenging opportunities and careers in the Royal Marines and were put through their paces with a cardio vascular circuit to give them an idea of the training and physical fitness involved.

Corporal Adrian Roberts said: “It is not for everybody, but it is extremely worthwhile if it is what you want to do.”

Rejina Pearson, Level 2 Public Services student who wants to work in the Police force said: “It shows what the requirements are for the marines. It has made me realise how much you need to improve your fitness and strength in different parts of your body.”

Rejina described the day as “fun, rewarding and worthwhile.”
