The annual event celebrates the achievements of students who attend the College’s vocational pathway programmes, Young Apprentice Programmes and West Yorkshire Learning Partnership Programmes.

The event was attended by over 250 students and their families and included pupils from Brighouse, Brooksbank, Calder High, Halifax High, Holy Trinity, Park Lane High, Ryburn Valley High, Sowerby Bridge High, St Catherine’s High and Todmorden High Schools.

Honor Byford, Head of Ryburn Valley High School said, “It was a fantastic occasion and a testament to the hard work of all the students who are benefitting from the partnership between the College and secondary schools in Calderdale”.

After handing out certificates Phil stayed behind to sign autographs for a big queue of fans. “I was really pleased to have been asked to take part as I have fond memories of my time at College and the role education has played in enabling me to start an acting career”.
