The D Floor café run by our Employability and Life Skills (ELS) Students has now been officially opened following an extensive refurbishment. Visitors from Calderdale Council, local schools and employers who have supported our students with work placements were in attendance.

Calderdale College supporting young people to kickstart their careers through Project Search

25th October 2017 Calderdale College supporting young people to kickstart their careers through Project Search

Project Search, a new initiative in Calderdale is helping young people with learning disabilities to prepare for life in the workplace. The scheme offers a year-long supported internship combining classroom-based learning delivered by the College and work experience with the Council and the NHS. The aim is to boost opportunities to learn new skills to help secure full-time, paid employment.
