Healthy Living Week took place last week throughout College and was aimed at promoting physical well being and nutrition as well as emotional wellbeing and relaxation. Learners and staff enjoyed the range of events that took place, which included fitness testing, a sports day, manicures and massage.

Two special guests presented certificates at Calderdale College’s 14-16 Awards Evening held at the Shay Stadium. Phillip Hill-Pearson, ex-student of Calderdale College and star in the recent series of Channel 4's ‘Shameless’ and Halifax Rugby League player Ben Black both took part in last night's celebrations.

4th May 2010 College staff climb Pen-y-ghent

The towering, dark mass of Pen-y-ghent was the setting for the recent walking challenge undertaken by a courageous team of College staff. At 2273 feet high, Pen-y-ghent is one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, the other two being Ingleborough and Whernside.
