This week the School Liaison team visited Brighouse High School for what turned out to be an extremely busy careers fair. Approximately thirty organisations attended the event that was aimed at Years 9-11. The College was well prepared with seven Level 1 students, including members of the Artistic team, on hand to help by offering free treatments such as manicures, hand and arm massages, straightening and curling hair. Both the boys and girls at Brighouse were very interested in talking to our hair and beauty learners as well as trying out a few of the techniques for themselves. The event was a huge success with many enquiries to schemes such as Hairdressing and Construction Young Apprenticeship Programmes that are currently on offer at Calderdale College.Careers Fair visit by School Liaison Team – full story
