8th February 2010 College first for E2E learners

Four Entry to Employment (E2E) learners, Courtney Hanson, Kyle Spruce, Manzaar Mahboob and Nishat Amin, have successfully achieved their Functional Skills qualification in Mathematics. The students are the first to gain the national qualification which is set to replace Key Skills when it is introduced across the College in September. Sumeira Akram and the rest of the E2E team are positive these students are the first of many to succeed.

Calderdale Training’s first Hospitality & Catering Apprentice is blazing a trail for others to follow. 18-year-old Simon Maude from Sowerby is an apprentice at Temujin, the popular Mongolian stir-fry restaurant in Sowerby Bridge where watching your meal being cooked is part of the spectacle.
