Last month, Music students from Calderdale College were allowed in to the home of Calrec Audio - leaders in the design and manufacturing of broadcast audio mixing consoles. Students were lucky enough to gain an insight into the industry from the leaders themselves, spending a day learning about the industry, touring the factory based in Hebden Bridge and having detailed demonstrations of how to operate the audio desks.Music Students Master the Art of Audio at Calrec – full story

Last week, Calderdale College celebrated the achievements of Health and Social Care students at the Health & Social Care Awards held in the Empty Space Theatre at the College. Calderdale College has invested over £6m since last October under Phase 3 of its campus redevelopment scheme to ensure students continue to have an enhanced curriculum, learning experience and campus facilities. The new 2508 sq.m. state-of-the-art Technology Centre will be opening its doors to students in September this year, as will the new 388 sq.m. high-specification Brick Workshop facilities.Building Our Future – full story
