BTEC First Diploma in Business students were treated to a special workshop today organised and developed by West Yorkshire Trading Standards Service. This financial literacy programme is designed for young people with the aim of educating them about financial knowledge. As a young person, there are a lot of things to think about in terms of long term finance, whether it is a major decision such as going to university or moving into new home never mind the everyday budgeting issues.

5th October 2009 First Class Honours Degrees for college artists

Two Calderdale College students have been awarded first class honours degrees on the BA (Hons) Visual Arts Degree course. Ruth Beazley from Mill Bank and Sheila Woodhead from Luddenden Foot were among eight students to complete their degrees, run in partnership with Leeds Metropolitan University, at the college’s Todmorden campus.
