Southfields Farm Project Launch

17th September 2012 Southfields Farm Project Launch

Calderdale College has partnered with local farmer Philip Crossley at Southfields farm to deliver a unique style of teaching and learning in Animal Care. The Southfields Farm project aims to revolutionise the way in which students learn essential skills in Calderdale by enabling learners to gain invaluable hands-on experience. The course combines both theoretical and practical training within a real-life, working farm.

14th September 2012 March of the Graduands

Calderdale College’s Higher Education and Professional qualifications graduation ceremony will be held on Saturday 29th September 2012. The celebration event will start with a parade through Halifax from the Town Hall to the Victoria Theatre followed by the official ceremony at the Victoria Theatre.

Public Service Students Residential Visit

6th September 2012 Public Service Students Residential Visit

Calderdale College students recently went on a week long summer residential to Ambleside as part of their public service course. They all had a great time and enjoyed participating in a range of activities including ghyll scrambling, raft building, canoeing and abseiling. All the activities were designed to build on the skills the students had learned in College including communication, team building and problem solving. The activities were also designed to be enjoyable and fun!
