    Car Parking

Ever since the day I started College I really liked the atmosphere and the fact it feels like a family, the moment you step in you feel so welcome. It’s easy to get involved and make contributions towards the College, everyone is so friendly and there is always someone to go to when you need a chat

Calderdale College has introduced a car parking permit scheme to identify the number of vehicle drivers using the car parks at its Francis Street campus, to support the future management of its on site parking facilities and pursue green travel options. The planned redevelopment of the Francis Street campus from early 2009 is likely to reduce significantly the available car parking on site.

If you intend to use either car park on the Francis Street, you will need a parking permit. You should have been given a (yellow) application form on enrolment. If not, this application form is also available from the Security desk in the main reception of Percival Whitley Centre. Please complete all sections of the form and put it in the car parking permit box on the Security desk in the main PWC reception. Please remember to complete the questionnaire on the reverse of the application form.

Please do not complete this form if you require a permit to park in a disabled parking space. You can obtain the (orange) application form from Student Services.

Your parking permit will be available for collection from the Security desk in the main reception during the following times. Please allow 3 days for processing.

  • 10.00am - 11.00am
  • 12.30pm - 1.30pm
  • 5.30pm - 6.30pm (Mon to Fri)
  • 9.00am- 3.00pm (Sat)

You will need to show your student ID card when collecting your permit.

A parking permit does not guarantee the availability of a parking space.

The College will check permits from time to time and will take action against the driver of any vehicle not displaying a permit. This could include withdrawing the ability to park on site.

You must notify the College of any change of vehicle. Please complete the form available from the Security desk in the main reception.
