Launched in 2006 as a partnership between Calderdale College and Halifax Rugby League FC, the Rugby League Academy provides talented young sports people with the chance to combine rugby league with academic studies.


Academy Athletes will study for nationally recognised qualifications whilst benefiting from expert coaching from a professional player and qualified coach. They also have the opportunity to be selected for HRLFC’s Youth Team.
