Course Info

On this challenging and exciting course, the focus is on the moving image: Video, Animation and Multimedia design projects to develop your practical skills in a variety of areas.

It will be delivered through a Project Based Learning approach that reflects how job roles are conducted in industry, and fully utilises employer, social enterprise and charity contacts to provide students with a stimulating and motivating learning experiences that build a variety of high level employability skills alongside achieving their qualifications.

This course allows you to explore your creative side whilst learning new technical skills used in the creative industries.

On this course, you will participate in a wide range of workshops and projects.

  • Photography
  • Film
  • Narrative
  • Set and Stage Design
  • Basic Sound/Lighting
  • Professional Practice
  • Digital Portfolio Building
  • Professional Presentation Skills
  • Scriptwriting
  • Media Makeup/Character Design
  • Animation/2D/Claymation/3D

Teaching

Skills development will include; professional practice, creative career intention/progression, digital portfolio building, and creative skills including – digital photography, film and animation, media makeup, scriptwriting, sound and lighting, stage and set design.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

School leavers should aim for at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C/Grade 4 including Maths and English.

Applicants will be invited to an interview with a specialist tutor. You will need to demonstrate creative flair at your interview and be highly motivated with a keen interest in the subject.
