Course Info

The Gas Engineering Apprenticeship is for apprentices that are employed as a domestic gas boiler installation, service, repair and maintenance engineer.

Successful candidates will achieve  Gas Safe registration and have approval to work on:

  • Domestic gas pipework
  • Domestic boilers and water heaters
  • Un-vented hot water systems
  • Gas meters
  • Carry out Combustion performance analysis (CPA)

Apprentice to achieve Level 2 functional skills Maths and English while on the course (unless already qualified with GCSE grade C).

This course is suitable for new entrants to the gas industry or existing Level 2 Plumbers that want to progress to a Level 3 qualification but want gas and not plumbing.

Teaching

Apprentices will be taught by a qualified and experienced lecturer using a range of methods including lectures, seminars and practical training in our newly refurbished gas training facility. Boiler manufacturers visit the college to deliver product training and this enhances the learning experience for apprentices.
