Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating
Entry Requirements: Suitable Employment and assessment of your existing maths and English skills
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in the Plumbing and Heating industry.
This qualification covers technical and practical training in all subjects including:
- Health & Safety in Building Services
- Electrical Principles and Processes in Building Services
- Scientific Principles for Plumbing Industry
- Common Plumbing Process Cold Water Systems
- Domestic Hot Water Systems
- Sanitation Systems
- Central Heating Systems
- Drainage Systems
- Understand how to communicate with others within the building industry.
This course consists of 12 units, 10 of these units are undertaken in college through both classroom or workshop sessions and 2 final units require completion on-site.
You may also need to achieve Functional Skills maths and English at Level 2 and ICT at Level 1
The underpinning knowledge Diploma is delivered at College and the NVQ portfolio is developed in the workplace.
All aspects of your learning will be supported by a Training Officer.
Entry Requirements & Interview Process
A discussion will take place between the applicant, the employer and the Training Officer to establish whether the range of work is available to ensure that the apprentice can achieve.
Existing maths and English skill levels will also be assessed at this meeting.
