DESCRIPTION:At Calderdale College\, we are offering FREE stress management training as part of our Xpert Lounge Live event on Tuesday 11 February. Workplace stress is something we all experience\, but with the right strategies\, you can manage pressure\, stay focused\, and improve your overall well-being – to help you take control of your work-life balance. \nDuring this experience\, you will learn how to maintain motivation under pressure\, develop better time management habits\, and create a healthier\, more positive work environment. Whether you’re dealing with high-pressure deadlines\, demanding workloads\, or professional obstacles\, this training will give you the tools to stay calm\, confident\, and in control. \nThrough fun activities such as stress mapping and stress bingo\, and exploring the concept of mental fitness\, everyone that attends will learn practical insights they can introduce into their day-to-day lives. Delegates will also take on the Minds Matter Challenge and learn about Mind Gym techniques from Minds Matter UK Director\, Johnny Lawless. \nXpert Lounge LIVE Podcast \nThis unique event features two LIVE podcast sessions\, with exceptional guest speakers: Luke Ambler\, mental health advocate and founder of Andy’s Man Club\, and Asma Iqbal\, partner of Chadwick Lawrence and Deputy Business Advisor to the Mayor of West Yorkshire. Together\, they’ll share their insights on leadership\, resilience\, and fostering a positive workplace culture. \nWhat to expect: \n\nLive interviews with guest speakers discussing their journeys and leadership experiences\, followed by a Q&A led by the audience.\nA leadership focused CPD session with interactive stress management activities such as stress mapping and useful time management techniques\nA talk with Mind Gym on the importance of self-care\, understanding mental fitness and the critical role of sleep\nA mindfulness session to round off the day with practical techniques for wellbeing\nNetworking opportunities and exhibitor stands showcasing resources and services for managing positive mental health and stress\n\nThe event will be hosted at our Calderdale College campus on Francis Street in Halifax. \nThings to know: \nA light lunch and refreshments will be provided. \nSections of the event will be filmed and photographed for promotional use. If you would not like to be featured in photography or filming\, please let a member of staff know on arrival.
