The Apprenticeship Hub


The Apprenticeship Hub will provide businesses with a gateway service and portfolio of wrap-around support to increase capacity for and growth in apprenticeships in the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding area. It aims to build a better skilled workforce to improve productivity and economic growth.

The Programme is part funded by the European Social Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.

Support available includes:

  • A gateway service that will act as a single point of contact for employers to access information and support on Apprenticeships
  • Capacity building support for SMEs
  • A Levy Transfer Scheme
  • A YNYER Apprenticeship Provider Network
  • Pre-Apprenticeship and wraparound training, delivering accredited and non-accredited bespoke support as required


In order to be eligible for support through this programme the following must apply:

  • The business must have a business premises in the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding region (Craven, East Riding, Harrogate, Hambleton, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough, Selby, York)
  • The business must be a Small to Medium Enterprise (SME): employ fewer than 250 full time equivalent staff and have either a turnover of less than €50 million, or a balance sheet of less than €43 million
  • Activity must be delivered in the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding region
  • Participants must be aged 18 or over, and have the legal right to live and work in the UK
