We are really looking forward to welcoming back our returning students and meeting all our new students in September.  All students will receive a full programme of learning from w/c 7th September (start dates will differ according to the course you are enrolled on).

Study Programmes will consist of face to face delivery at College, with some virtual learning where students will access their class via a digital platform and an expectation that some work will be completed independently either at home or on College premises. The exact mix of these different types of learning will depend on the course you are studying and will be explained fully to you when you start your course in September during your induction. This new approach to the timetable is planned for a short period initially to allow a safe return to college and it will be reviewed in line with changes to national guidance, with the aim of returning to a more normal timetable as soon as it is safe to do so.

Your safety on the College campus is of paramount importance to us and we have been working very hard to put things into place to ensure this. This means that College life may not be the same as it was last year or compared to your experience at school.  These changes will be shared with you in more detail as part of your pre induction before you start with us September.

What do I need to do?

Enrolment – Including information, advice and guidance

Enrolment will be completed online for the large majority of students by following the links on the dedicated Enrolment web page that will be launched in August. You will need to login to the account that you used to apply to the College or if you haven’t applied yet, you will need to apply online. Students who were enrolled with us in 2019/20 have been sent their enrolment details via email, please check the email address that you have registered with us, which is likely to be your personal email. Please contact our Data Services Team (EBSaccount@calderdale.ac.uk) if you are having problems accessing or setting up your account. You will be able to complete your application and enrolment using a mobile phone or tablet if you haven’t got access to a laptop or PC.

If you need any advice on the best course for you or if you haven’t got the grades that you were expecting, please contact Learner Services (01422 399367).  We will still be able to offer you a course and we will put you in touch with the relevant tutor to discuss your options. Applications are open throughout the summer and into September and we are on hand to support you in choosing the perfect course for you.

Results Days

Results will be available to collect in person at the College. This event will be socially distanced with appropriate queuing systems in place. Please ensure that you collect your results on your own, unless you have a specific need that requires support. The dates for the collection of results are below:

Level 3: 13th August (Percival Whitley Centre building)

Entry Level, Level 1 and 2 (including GCSE’s): 20th August (Inspire Centre building)

You must bring identification with you as results cannot be issued without ID. Ideally, this should be your College ID from the 2019-20 academic year if you were enrolled at the College this year or some other form of photo identification. Tutors will not be available to answer any queries about your results so please email any questions you have to examresults@calderdale.ac.uk

We will be in contact with you towards the end of August with all the information you will need to ensure a smooth and supported start to the College year. This information will include:

  • A guide to using the College in light of changes made as a result of Covid 19.  This guide will tell you everything you need to know about how to keep yourself and other people safe at College during this time.
  • Clear information about your Study Programme including what you will be doing in the first week of term. Your full timetable will be shared and discussed with you during the first week also.
  • Your pre-Induction task and instructions on how to complete it.

If you have any further questions or need support, please contact the College’s Learner Service Team on 01422 399367.
