Nearly one in five students at further education colleges in England are currently not active enough – that means 138,000 students are doing less than the recommended 30 minutes of physical activity each week.
Our Tackling Inactivity project aims to provide opportunities for learners to participate in a range of sport and physical activity enrichment whilst at college.
Learners are actively involved with the design of the programme via regular consultations with individual classes and their respective progress coaches.
Students will be able to decide what activities they take part in and how these sessions are structured, as well as discussing the benefits they are receiving so we can maximise the success and effectiveness of the programme in the future.
