Meet the Course Leader

Chris Tindal, Course Leader, Animal Care

I've gained my experience in lots of rewarding settings, from an RSPCA clinic and running a veterinary practice right through to a managerial role at Pfizer Animal Health and many years' teaching in England and Wales. Now I teach a variety of biology and animal-related subjects for Level 3 Animal Management here at Calderdale. Working in the education, charity and private sectors means I understand what different employers look for, and that helps me ensure that our Animal Care courses are always 100% relevant to the job market as well as fascinating and fun to study.

Student Testimonial

Level 2 Animal Care student, Chloe Gerrard

"I heard about the College from my school in Bradford, one of the teachers recommended it. All the people here are friendly, welcoming and just nice. I think the course is really good, it's very informative and you learn a lot from it. The best thing about the course is the animals and getting to play with and handle them. I work with bearded dragons, snakes and the amphibians. My tutor Louise is really nice. She helps me if I'm struggling with work or if I don't understand something she'll explain it further."
