Calderdale College is the largest provider of further education (post-16) courses and work-based learning (Apprenticeships) and the sole provider of higher education courses in Calderdale (we work with a range of Universities).
WHY CHOOSE CALDERDALE?
Calderdale College engages around 4,500 learners, our main campus is at Francis Street, Halifax but we also deliver motor vehicle and engineering at our Motivate Centre, Halifax. In 2012 the College was awarded the Warwick Centre for Education and Industry, Excellence in Enterprise Education (CEI) accolade.
FANTASTIC NEW FACILITIES
Our Motivate Centre is the central hub for Motor Vehicle and Engineering students giving the opportunity to work on real cars. Our Brickwork Workshop opened in 2013 and gives students the ability to work on real projects.
Our £8m Inspire Centre is now home to a multi-use sports hall, 3G pitch, rock climbing wall fitness suite, full sized grass pitch and Dance Studio.
For our Catering & Hospitality students, Cuisine 1893 is the perfect place to learn new techniques and work with professional kitchen equipment.
We have three educational sport partners; Halifax RLFC, FC Halifax Town and Pro-Coach Yorkshire Cricket (the training arm of Yorkshire CCC). These partners provide us with coaching and facilities for our Centre of Excellence students.
ENGAGING WITH EMPLOYERS
Calderdale College Apprenticeships, the College’s services to business arm, works with over 750 companies across the region. Calderdale College have over 13 years’ experience of identifying, securing and managing funding to support individuals, businesses and communities across the North of England.
We have secured over £100 million worth of funding, achieved a less than 1% error rating on all compliance visits and audits and worked with over 250 delivery partners to provide high quality training and support.
Through our projects, we have supported over 3000 employers and engaged with over 90,000 employed individuals.
