Meet the Course Leader

Simon Dunn, Course Leader, Creative Arts

"In 2005 I began working in the Art and Design Department at Calderdale College, after graduating from Huddersfield University with a post-graduate teaching degree. Before this I graduated with a BA Hons degree in Art and Design, specialising in textiles and printing. This was followed by a two-year part-time Masters course in printmaking. During this time a selection of my books and print designs were exhibited in galleries in Manchester, Bristol and London. Working here is great: there?s a very positive atmosphere, and I always enjoy sharing my expertise with students who are eager to learn the skills they need for work."

Student Testimonial

Former Level 3 Film & Photography student, Mollie Jagger

"I am here because I prefer College to school, because at school they gave you boundaries of what you can and can't do with your work which I don't think is fair when it is to do with the creative industry and at College you can run with your own ideas. What  like best about the course is how supportive the tutor is and you get to learn a lot of things. You get a chance to be creative and discover who you are and what you want."
