Entry Requirements & Interview Process

You will be required to complete an Initial Assessment, which determines your current level of understanding in the subject. This helps us place you on the most suitable course for your skills. Once this has been completed, you will be enrolled to begin your learning journey.

You will need to complete an online application. Then you will be invited into an assessment and enrolment day to complete the assessment, discuss options with a qualified tutor and then enrol.

Progression

  • Further Study – Progression to Level 3 qualifications such as Health & Social Care Practice (for adults or children/young people), Level 3 Principles & Contexts, or A‑Levels in related subjects .
  • Apprenticeships – Foundation for health/social care apprenticeships like healthcare assistants or support workers.
  • Entry‑Level Roles – Provides knowledge enabling learners to work as healthcare assistants, care workers, home care assistants, support workers in adult or children’s settings, focusing on safeguarding, person‑centred practice, communication, equality and inclusion.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is portfolio-based. Learners complete a range of assessments and practical tasks designed to demonstrate their understanding and skills.
