Course Overview

Calderdale College in partnership with Ramé College provides a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts, a full-time two-year course. Designed for aspiring performers, it offers a dynamic and industry-focused training programme that prepares you for higher education or a professional career in the performing arts.

You’ll develop your skills across dance, singing and acting, gaining versatility and confidence as a performer. Assessment is entirely coursework-based, allowing you to focus on practical development and creative exploration. Throughout the course, you’ll benefit from specialist tuition, professional workshops, and opportunities to perform and network with industry professionals. You’ll also receive personalised support with auditions, showreels and portfolios, helping you take your next step into the world of performance.

Ramé are devoted to recognising and developing individual artistry and versatility within performers, guiding creatives to prepare them for the next step of their journey, eventually leading into the professional industry. They work with leading artists, choreographers and tutors with current knowledge, vast experience and inspired teaching practice, who are dedicated to your development and growth as a performer and as an individual.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

Applicants are expected to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including Maths and English

Ramé are introducing a new digital audition process designed to help you showcase your individuality and talent. After attending an Open Evening to meet tutors, explore our studios and experience the course, you’ll receive a Digital Audition Pack with full instructions. You’ll then submit filmed performances — including a set routine, a commercial piece and a chosen strength such as dance, acting or singing – along with a short application form. Progression

After successfully completing the course, students can progress onto Higher Education or move directly into the performing arts industry.
