Passion for Health and making a difference – Natalia’s journey

Natalia is embarking on an inspiring journey in Health & Social Care at Calderdale College. Studying the T Level Foundation in Health, she has already seen how the course is shaping her both personally and professionally.

Natalia said: “This course has changed me as a person, it’s made me want to do more to help other people. I feel more confident in my studies and have started to work outside of my comfort zone.

“Mental Health issues are really important to me and I’d like to use the skills I’m learning at college to make a positive change in people’s lives. I don’t just want to be successful; I want to make a difference and this course will help me achieve my goals.”

The one-year Level 2 Foundation course is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge, skills and confidence they need to progress smoothly onto the full T Level qualification, providing a strong foundation for further study or work.

When Natalia begins her Level 3 T Level course next September, she will have the opportunity to put her learning into practice through a built-in 45-day industry placement with a local healthcare employer. This will allow her to gain valuable real-world experience, develop professional skills and contribute meaningfully to the health sector.

This next step will help Natalia secure the qualifications she needs to progress onto university, a degree apprenticeship or into employment.
