Course Overview

This entry level 3 course offers an introduction to the exciting creative industries. On the course you will participate in a wide range of workshops and projects across art, design and media pathways and also set groundwork for employability and learning skills involving planning, enterprising and teamwork. You will complete creative projects using techniques, such as art, mixed media, digital art, animation and graphic design.

During this course, you will become well equipped in all aspects of:

  • Art, design & media techniques and processes
  • 2D & 3D experimentations
  • Creative media and mix media
  • Digital design, editing and animation
  • Awareness to entry level jobs in the creative and media sector
  • Employability and enterprising

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

The program is for all students looking for a full time study program and open for applications for students 16 – 18 who may have been out of education, looking for a introduction to the creative pathways or students aged 16-24 who have an Education, Health, and Care plan.

Students with GCSE at grade 1 and above as well as those who have been out of education and have not managed to achieve full GCSEs are eligible to apply for this course.

Progression

With the successful completion of the Entry Level 3 Art qualification, students could look to progress further in their studies into Level 1 in art, media or another Level 1 vocation of their choosing.
