Course Overview

This interactive FREE short course provides participants with an overview of the knowledge and practical skills required to lead teams effectively. Participants will explore core leadership principles, develop communication and influencing skills, learn techniques to motivate and engage team members, manage conflict and difficult conversations professionally, and implement accountability systems that drive performance and continuous improvement in the workplace.

The course will conclude with an open forum led by an experienced leader of people, providing participants with the opportunity to ask questions, discuss workplace challenges, seek guidance on real-life situations, and share their learning and reflections.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand core leadership principles
  • Improve communication and influence
  • Motivate and engage teams effectively
  • Handle conflict and difficult conversations
  • Build accountability systems

This course is aimed at:

Upon completion of this training, participants can further enhance their skills and knowledge by enrolling in specialist face-to-face courses at Calderdale College. A range of short courses are available at just £50 each, including:
