This friendly workshop is for parents and carers of children aged 0–5 years.
It will help you understand how young children develop emotionally, why they behave the way they do, and how simple daily routines can support their wellbeing.
You will learn practical ways to stay calm, respond to your child’s emotions, and build a positive relationship through everyday interactions. The session aims to increase your confidence as a parent and provide simple strategies that you can use at home.
By the end of the session you will:
• Understand how young children’s brains and emotions develop.
• Recognise that behaviour is a way of communicating.
• Understand why routines are important for children’s emotional wellbeing.
• Learn simple calming and co-regulation strategies.
• Use positive parenting approaches to support your child’s development.
