Course Overview

This non-accredited CPD course is designed for experienced construction professionals who want to strengthen their knowledge of strategic cost management, complex contracts and
financial control. Delegates will explore advanced estimating, procurement, contract administration and risk management through practical construction-based scenarios.

This course is aimed at:

  • Graduate and practising quantity surveyors
  • Estimators
  • Cost managers
  • Project managers
  • Construction professionals with existing experience of estimating, quantity surveying or commercial management.

  • Advanced cost planning and lifecycle costing
  • Complex estimating, rate build-ups and bid strategy
  • Procurement strategy and supply chain management
  • Advanced JCT and NEC contract administration
  • Variations, claims, compensation events and dispute resolution
  • Interim valuations, final accounts and strategic financial control
  • Earned value management, cash-flow forecasting and risk management
  • Construction economics, BCIS indices and market trends
  • RICS professional standards, ethics and reporting
  • BIM and 5D cost modelling
  • Advanced case studies and simulated construction projects

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

Delegates should have previous experience of estimating, quantity surveying, cost control or construction commercial management.

Course Fees

This course is £280 per delegate.

If you would like to complete the full programme, the following bundles are:

  • Intermediate & Advanced: £400 per person, saving £45
