Graduates from Calderdale College have celebrated a major milestone, joining family, friends and staff for the College’s annual University Centre Graduation ceremony.
The Class of 2026 came together at Halifax Minster on Tuesday 22 September to mark the completion of their qualifications and celebrate their commitment, progress and success throughout their studies.
The graduates included students and higher apprentices from the Calderdale College University Centre, representing the School of Creative Arts, School of Business, Leadership & Management, School of Health & Science and School of Education & Lifelong Learning.
This year, a number of Higher Education programmes recorded outstanding results, with 100 per cent achievement rates in both the Foundation Degree and BA (Hons) in Art & Design, as well as the HNDs in Leadership & Management and Counselling & Psychology.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone for graduates and many will now progress into employment, further study or new opportunities in their chosen careers.
David Malone, Principal and Chief Executive at Calderdale College, said: “Graduation is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work, determination and achievements of our students.
“Our graduates should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved. The 100 per cent achievement rates across a number of our Higher Education programmes are a fantastic reflection of our students’ commitment and the dedication of our college team who support them throughout their studies. It is a privilege to have been part of their journey, and I look forward to seeing what they achieve in the future.”
The University Centre offers a range of Higher Education opportunities, from Foundation Degrees and HNCs and HNDs, to BA Hons Top Ups, Higher Technical Qualifications, professional teaching qualifications and higher apprenticeships.
