Plumbers are always in demand, so there’s reliable, rewarding and well-paid work if you have the right plumbing qualifications.

The Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating is designed for those who wish to pursue a career in the Plumbing and Heating industry.

This qualification covers technical and practical training in all subjects including:

  • Health & Safety in Building Services
  • Electrical Principles and Processes in Building Services
  • Scientific Principles for Plumbing Industry
  • Common Plumbing Process Cold Water Systems
  • Domestic Hot Water Systems
  • Sanitation Systems
  • Central Heating Systems
  • Drainage Systems
  • Understand how to communicate with others within the building industry.

This course consists of 10 units, all undertaken in college through both classroom or workshop sessions.

Successful completion of L1 Plumbing

Progression

Successful completion of this Level 2 Diploma could assist an application for a Level 3 apprenticeship.

Assessment takes place in college through workshop practical assignments, an on-line exam for each of the theory units.
